Summary of Services
We are planning to render the following services during and surrounding the conference:
Organisation team
The Organization Team will be available most of the time during the conference. If you have any questions, queries, suggestions or complaints, these should be directed to them, so that they can be addressed promptly. The Hotel Reception always knows their whereabouts and is always able to page them.
Hotel reception
The Hotel reception will be manned 24 hours a day, offering standard hotel services, such as wake up calls, dry cleaning and laundry, and information on the local area. Please remember to pay for any telephone charges and bar bills at checkout time. The hotel accepts most major credit cards, and cash in various currencies.
Conference rooms
The conference rooms will have full AV equipment installed consisting of a desktop projection system and cordless microphone for the speaker.
Network
A WiFi network will be at your disposal throughout the hotel. You will be able to use the network to access email and internet 24 hours a day. Documentation and demo libraries will be made available on an FTP-server. Should you wish to use regular phone lines from your hotel room to connect to the internet that is possible, however, you will have to pay for the telephone calls yourself.
Shuttle
On Sunday October 24th a shuttle will be available for pick-ups at Arnhem Railway Station. On Friday 29th we'll arrange a shuttle to return attendees there. Should anybody require transportation during the week, the hotel will be able to arrange a taxi. Drink driving laws are strictly enforced in the Netherlands!
Weather
It will probably not be too cold, but there will be a big chance of rain. Bring a coat!
Currency
The currency of the Netherlands is the Euro, like in most European countries. Creditcard are widely accepted as well. Please bear in mind that former european currencies as Guilders, Deutsch Marks and the likes are not valid anymore..
External events
We will not be organizing any external events during the conference. However, if you would like to adventure out, we may be able to help you find suitable entertainment in the surrounding area. Within the Hotel, the bar will be open every evening for as long as people require. On Wednesday evening there will be a special extended luxury dinner at Doorwerth Castle. Coaches will be made available for transport to and from the castle. Anybody who wants to add to the festivities is welcome, please let us know in advance so we can make suitable arrangements.
